Alexandra Harper is the reigning Miss Tennessee USA 2018 who will be representing her home state in the upcoming Miss USA competition. The 25-year-old Nashville native, who is the daughter of Miss Tennessee USA 1981 Sharon Steakly, succeeds 2017 titleholder Allee-Sutton Hethcoat. Harper holds a number of titles, showing off her entrepreneurial spirit by working as a writer, business owner, a personal stylist, a sales executive and a social media manager.
“I’ve always wanted to start my own business,” she said after winning the title, via The Tennesseean. “I knew if I did this, I could have a voice and speak to women of all shapes and sizes, give them advice on what to wear and how to wear it.”
“Creating content, it all relies upon you.”
Outside of the beauty pageant world, Harper serves as an ambassador for Second Harvest Food Bank in Middle Tennessee. She has also worked with Healing Housing, a transitional living home for women in recovery from addiction which offers counseling, financial training, and bible study. She directed and filmed a short documentary for the foundation.
