The box office is currently bursting at the seams thanks to the early summer kickoff of Avengers: Infinity War, but that isn’t slowing us down from giving you weekly updates on new trailers and release dates to be on the lookout for. 1. Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek is a killer queen. The Mr. Robot actor is a dead ringer for Freddie Mercury, even his voice gives me chills. This movie had a rocky road in production but what better parallel to that of the life of a rock star. Bohemian Rhapsody is a chronicle of the years leading up to Queen’s legendary appearance at the Live Aid (1985) concert in 1985.

2. Mission: Impossible – Fallout

Another addition to the high octane world of Mission: Impossible, Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong. The cast includes Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, Henry Cavill (Justice League), and Rebecca Ferguson (The Greatest Showman). As always, there will be loads of action, chases, and death-defying stunts that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Hold on to your popcorn for this one.

In theaters July 27, 2018.

3. BlacKkKlansman

A collaboration film about a black cop in the South infiltrating the KKK by Spike Lee and Jordan Peele… do I need to say more? Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer from Colorado, successfully managed to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan and became the head of the local chapter. The cast is led by John David Washington (Ballers), Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3). 

In theaters August 10, 2018.

4. The Predator

As we ask ourselves why do we need another Predator movie, Shane Black is a solid director, and this film has a pretty impressive cast. You’ve got Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), and Kegan Michael Key (Key & Peele) leading the cast, so I’m confident if the trailer didn’t impress you, the actual film will. 

Reboots have become a huge money maker recently in Hollywood, so it comes as no surprise we’re getting The Predator. A stellar cast and outside-the-box director place it on my watchlist for sure.

5. American Animals

This film tells the story of four young men who mistake their lives for a movie and attempt one of the most audacious heists in U.S. history. Leading cast includes Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale), Evan Peters (American Horror Story), and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk). 

Heist movies are also a big trend Hollywood has again, but this time with more flare.

In theaters May 31, 2018.

Brie has amassed a worth of $4 Million. The new mom has done quite well for herself but how did Brie get to where she is?

1983-2006:

Brie was born in San Diego, California but was raised on a farm in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is younger than her sister Nikki buy 16 minutes. She was an avid soccer player and played for her high school, Chaparral High School. She spent one year in San Diego attending college before she joined her sister in Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Her biggest role booked before joining WWE was an ad for Budweiser alongside her sister to be The World Cup twins for the 2006 World Cup. She would also appear alongside her sister in the 2006 WWE Diva Search but would be ironically cut from the competition. That soon didn’t matter, WWE would soon have bigger plans for her future.

2006-2012:

The Bella Twins were signed to a WWE developmental contract in June 2007 and were sent to their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, Florida. The twins would cut their teeth against the likes of Natalya while in the territory.

Brie would make her solo debut on the main roster in August 2008. She would spend a couple months as a solo performer until her sister was brought up to perform a surprise switch in October 2008. In the following months, the Bella Twins would be involved in storylines with superstars like Natalya, The Colons, The Miz, John Morrison, and Beth Pheonix. Brie would hit a career-high in April 2011 by being the first on the Bella Twins to win The Divas Championship.

This would end up being her one and only reign as the Champion. She would go on to drop the title to Kelly Kelly in July. Brie would spend the rest of her time in a tag team with her sister and help Nikki win her first title before being let go by then Executive Administrator Eve Torres in April 2012. But just like their time WWE turned them away, The Bellas would be back and better than ever.

2012-2016:

After a very brief period in which the Twins made a couple independent circuit appearances before quickly making their return in March 2013. They were quickly reinserted into storylines and became focal points of the new reality show Total Divas in July. She would go on to feud with her sister, met her future husband Daniel Bryan, and even help Nikki win the Divas Title again and break the record for longest reign.

Arguably her most notable feud was with WWE Executive and daughter of the CEO Stephanie McMahon which sparked the aforementioned feud with her sister Nikki. Brie would go on to become a fan favorite up until her final match at Wrestlemania 32. Brie then retired from in-ring action and transitioned to an ambassador role so she could focus on having a family.

2016-Present:

Following her retirement, she focused on building her family with husband Daniel Bryan. She wants to spend less time on the road did not slow down her entrepreneurial spirit. She continued her work with both brands she created with her sister Nikki. Birdiebee, a clothing and athletic wear company and Bella Radici, a wine company. She also let her family be a prevalent part of the Total Divas spin-off show Total Bellas. She let the show take an honest and in-depth look at her pregnancy and her husbands struggle with depression. It was honest and beautiful and it makes the fans excited to see what they will share next.

Early Friday morning, an active shooter, later identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis by police, claimed the lives of 10 people, while injuring at least 10 others, with the shooting taking place between 7:30 and 7:45 A.M. local time at Santa Fe High School in Texas. As more information comes out about the story, the victims are being identified by officials and by their families.

What do we know about the injured?

According to ABC 13, a Santa Fe ISD police officer, John Barnes, was shot in the upper arm during the incident and is currently undergoing surgery for his injuries. Two other victims were said to be with Barnes at the same hospital, but their names were not released to the public; one had been a 16-year-old shot who had a gunshot wound in his leg and the other was identified as being an adult woman. Both were said to be in stable condition.

Clear Lake Regional Hospital also confirmed that they were treating other victims from the shooting. The FBI also announced it will provide resources to victims and their families at a Family Assistance Center set up at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Santa Fe.

The Cowboys’ sixth-year receiver, Terrance Williams, has been arrested by Frisco police this Saturday for alleged public intoxication after crashing his car, a Lamborghini, into a light pole and then reportedly leaving the scene. Cowboys officials have confirmed that they are aware of the incident and that they were gathering information about the story as it came out.

What happened?

According to a press release from the Frisco Police Department, the accident in the area of Frisco Green Avenue and Lebanon road, with them finding a 2017 blue Lamborghini that had struck a light pole, according to Star-Telegram.

Originally, the driver had fled the scene and was not found within the area; officials were later able to uncover that the vehicle was registered to Williams. He was later found near his residence riding an electric bicycle in the road; he was then arrested. He has since been released from the Frisco Detention Center on a $369 bond, although he was also given a misdemeanor at large charge for leaving the scene of an accident.

According to the Dallas Cowboys website, the team is aware of the situation and the team confirmed that they are collecting information on what had happened; the website also confirmed that the scene of the accident was only a few blocks away from The Star, the Cowboys’ headquarters.

Who Is Terrance Williams?

According to the Dallas Cowboys website, Williams signed a four-year deal worth around $17 million last year, with three years remaining on the deal; he is expected to count $4.75 million on the cap both in 2018 and 2019. His $3.5 million salary this year is guaranteed.

Williams, a wide receiver, endured a broken foot this offseason and was already expected to miss all of the offseason workouts, as well as parts of the training camp.

Things got a little interesting during the undercard of Saturday’s boxing event headlined by Adonis Stevenson and Badou Jack. Before Stevenson and Jack squared off for Stevenson’s WBC and lineal light-heavyweight titles a fan caused a minor delay and forced security to act swiftly.

During a preliminary bout between Mikael Zewski and Diego Luque, a fan attempted to storm the ring. That is when security had to wrestle the man to the ground which caused a brief delay of approximately five minutes.

Mike Coppinger of the Los Angeles Times shared ringside footage of the incident involving a “mountain of a man.”

Once the fan was under control, the action resumed inside of the ring.

Saturday’s event between Adonis Stevenson and Badou Jack was an interesting one. After a fan stormed the ring and caused a minor delay in one of the bouts, a referee was on the receiving end of an unexpected blow. While Stevenson and Jack were competing in the main event at the Premier Boxing Champions event at Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the referee tried to temporarily break the fighters.

That’s when he ended up eating an uppercut from Jack.

Luckily for the ref, he stayed on his feet.

1986-1992

Jackson broke from the management of her family and teamed up with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. After just six weeks, Jackson released her third studio album titled, Control. The album was her most successful to date shooting up the Billboard charts to No. 1. Control sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

In 1989, Jackson released her fourth album, Rhythm Nation 1814. Jackson sought to address various crimes and tragedies during the time with the album. The album was just as successful as Control,  reaching No. 1 on the Billboard charts and selling over 12 million copies worldwide.

In 1990, Jackson announced her debut tour, Rhythm Nation World Tour 1990. It would become the most successful debut tour in history. After the success of her debut tour, Virgin Records inked the artist to a deal estimated between $32 and $52 million. The deal would make her the highest paid recording artist at the time.

1993-1993

In May 1993, Jackson released her fifth studio album, Janet. The record opened at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and sold over 14 million copies worldwide. Later that year, Jackson would debut in her first film, Poetic Justice. Shortly after, Jackson would go on her next world tour, the Janet World Tour.

In 1995, Jackson released her album, Design of a Decade: 1986–1996, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Jackson would then renew her contract with Virgin Records for $80 million. The deal dwarfed brother Michael and Maddona’s deal at the time. Her sixth album, The Velvet Rope, was then released. It debuted at No. 1 and sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

2000-2009

Jackson appeared in her second film, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, in July 2000. The role was opposite Eddie Murphy and grossed over $170 million worldwide. Jackson was also honored by MTV with the inaugural “MTV Icon” award, in 2000.

Jackson’s seventh album was released in April 2001 titled, All For You. Again the album opened at No. 1 and became the highest first-week selling album of her career. It eventually sold over nine million copies. After the release of the album, she went on her All For You Tour, which partnered with HBO.

Jackson was chosen to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show with Justin Timberlake in Feb. 2004. The halftime show was marred with controversy as a wardrobe malfunction exposed her breast to the 100+ million viewers. The incident would become the most recorded and replayed moment in Tivo history. The incident would later cause her to lose her performance slot at the 46th Grammy Awards.

In 2004, Jackson released her eighth studio album, Damita Jo. From 2006 to 2007, Jackson would release her ninth album, 20 Y.O. and would appear in the movie, Why Did I Get Married?.

2010-Present

In 2010, Jackson reprised her role in the sequel film, Why Did I Get Married Too?, it grossed $60 million in total. She would also go on to star in the drama, For Colored Girls. Jackson then embarked on her largest world tour, Number Ones, Up Close and Personal.

In 2015, Jackson announced her next tour titled, Unbreakable World Tour, which coincided with her release of the single, No Sleeep. Later in 2015, BET presented Jackson with their inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual award.

Early in 2018, it was announced Janet would be honored at the Billboard Music Awards with the Icon Award.

Halsey, who was born in Edison, New Jersey as Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, chose her stage name in reference to the Halsey Street station on the New York Subway in Brooklyn. It also happens to be an anagram of her birth name.
