The Top 5 Most Epic Senior Prank Fails

Senior Pranksters Pranked Themselves

As the academic school year approaches an end, the same three things are on every high schooler’s mind: Prom, summer, and most importantly, how to stick it to their alma mater with a monumental senior prank. Pranks are the grandest display of school spirit and embody the senior class’ legacy – a lot’s at stake. Not everyone is blessed with creative powers, however, and every year some high school takes their energy in the wrong direction. In honor of the impending senior prank season, here’s a look back on five times the pranksters ended up pranking themselves.

If you’re thinking of pranking your school, don’t look to these guys for inspiration.

5. Sound The Alarms

Date: May 27, 2015
Location: Iredell County, N.C.
Perpetrators: Shannon Farrell and Lakia Hall

Prank: Two students faced felony charges after placing several alarm clocks in empty lockers and waiting for the alarm to startle their school. The original plan was for the clocks to go off every couple of minutes and make the administration search for them, according to Hall. Obviously, the ticking noises that accompany the clocks were not accounted for, and the administration registered the sound as a bomb threat.

Authorities were not humored, as both students were charged with creating a “bomb hoax.” The prank’s comedic value went unnoticed.

Punishment: Two students arrested.

Source: Iredell County

4. Creative “juices”

Date: May 1, 2014
Location: Teaneck High School, Teaneck, New Jersey
Perpetrators: over 60 students

Prank: Over 60 students broke into their high school to douse its hallways in urine, lubricate doorknobs, and flip desks early on a Thursday morning. Pranked! Looks like the senior prank planning committee was really down to the wire with this one. Teaneck police Sgt. John Garland commented on the predicament, “I’ve been a police officer 19 years, and this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”

When police arrived on the scene around 2:30am, many students were still in the school. Additionally, the student’s nefarious activities were captured clearly on security cameras.

Punishment: Multiple Arrests. Burglary, criminal mischief charges.

Source: Teaneck High School

3. Motorcross

Date: June 2, 2016
Location: GlenOak High School, Canton, OH
Perpetrators: Nicholas M. Lexington, 18, Larry A. Skropits, 18, Eloy A. Lopes, 18,

Prank: The four masterminds behind this prank all conspired together to ride a dirt bike through their school’s hallways for their final hoorah. Miraculously, no one was hurt or killed. The police department had the last laugh.

Punishment: All four students were arrested and charged with inducing panic, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and in the case of Eloy Lopes, who wasn’t a student, trespassing.

2. Poster Rampage

Date: June 2, 2017
Location: Desert Oasis High School, Clark County, Nevada
Perpetrators: 40 students.

Prank: Several dozen masked students stormed the doors of their high school after dark and proceeded to tear down posters, lubricate the stairs and doorknobs with baby oil, and then attempted to flee the scene.

Punishment: 8 students arrested facing jail, fines, suspension, and are unable to walk at graduation.

Source: Desert Oasis High School

1. Indoor Water park

Date: May 6, 2011
Location: Troy Buchanan High School, Missouri
Perpetrators: Kyle S. Hussey, 18, Robin M. Wilson, 18, Joshua T. Wilcockson, 17

Prank: Three high school students built a 12-foot long swimming pool inside the school’s commons. Airtight as it sounds, this plan fell through after the students left the water running, causing the pool to overthrow and cause 15,000 dollars in damages. Each student was charged with one account of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Such crimes carry punishments of up to 7 years in prison and a 5,000 dollar fine with them.

Sometime in between 1:30am and 4:30am, the students gained access to the school through a door they had left open the previous day. Once they were inside, the team of vandals sprayed cooking oil around the pool to prevent easy access. Inevitably, much of the tile and surrounding infrastructure was damaged. When asked for comment, Principal Stephen Hunter responded with a firm statement addressing the issue, “When we have criminal behavior in our building, we react to that.”

Punishment: All three students were arrested with unreleased verdicts.

May 2018 has been an absolutely MONSTER month for the box office. With Avengers: Infinity War‘s release at the end of April, the blockbuster has carried on and remained at the top of the box office for over three weeks. It finally lost the top spot to fellow superhero movie Deadpool 2, and now that movie runs into a similar problem as the Star Wars franchise returns to theatres with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Comics and Star Wars so hot right now. Comics and Star Wars.

A bunch of future releases got new trailers this week, and whether you’re into blockbusters, serious dramas, or even something in between, there’s something here for you. Check out this week’s must-see trailers below.

Skyscraper

Except Eli is having a personal crisis and beginning to doubt the longevity of his chosen career. And Hermann might have a better offer.

The Sisters Brothers does not have an official release date yet but will hit theaters later this year.

Shock and Awe

If you’re a journalism nerd like me and/or you loved Spotlight and were “meh” on The Post, it looks like you’ll probably dig this one. With the cast it has — Woody Harrelson, James Marsden, Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Biel and Milla Jovovich– it certainly looks like it could be something special.

Official synopsis:

A group of journalists covering George Bush’s planned invasion of Iraq in 2003 are skeptical of the presidents claim that Saddam Hussein has “weapons of mass destruction.”

Shock and Awe will be released on July 13th, 2018.

Charlotte AAU Player Passes Away At Age 17 After Collapsing On Court

0
0

James Hampton, an AAU basketball player for Team United Hoops of the Nike EYBL, passed away at age 17. Hampton was on the court with his team when he collapsed in the middle of the game. The 17-year-old was a junior at Liberty Heights Athletic Institute in Charlotte.

According to eyewitnesses, the coaching staff and medical personnel immediately responded to Hampton after he collapsed. Hampton appeared unresponsive and the staff was attempting to resuscitate him for several minutes on the court.

From The News & Observer:

The player appeared unconscious as medical personnel ran on to the court to assist him. Chest compressions were administered. His teammates and coaches first gathered on their bench across the court, many in tears.

A video shows many of Hampton’s teammates distraught as he was attended to on the court.

Team United did not finish the game. While it would be understandable to see his teammates pack up and call it a weekend to mourn the loss of their teammate and friend, they will reportedly finish out today’s schedule of games.

“They really want to finish it up. The coaches are just torn up right now. So it’s going to be tough, but it’s what the kids want to do,” Team United director Jacoby Davis said in a statement.

The latest information on Hampton’s passing can be seen below.

James Hampton Cause of Death: Undisclosed at the time

James Hampton was a member of the Nike EYBL Team United Hoops. Hampton had reportedly suffered seizures in previous years. During Saturday’s slate of games, he sat out the first game of Team United’s session before taking the court for Game 2. That is when he collapsed. No cause of death is being given at this time.

“He just fell down on the floor,” Davis said, via the News & Observer. “He had seizures a year ago and I remember (one of the Team United coaches) telling me that, ‘I saw his eyes rolling back in his head.’ I ran on the court thinking he was having a seizure. A trainer came over and said he didn’t know what was wrong. Another trainer checked his pulse. He said he didn’t have a pulse. It got crazy after that.

“It’s hard to even explain. To have a kid in your program with so much life, that’s just the kind of kid he was. He was always happy. For something like this to happen, I can’t even explain it. …”

Our deepest condolences go out to Hampton’s family and friends impacted by this devastating loss.

Emma Roberts Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Emma Roberts Worth?

0
0

Emma Roberts is a young American actress and singer.

Roberts, 27, got her start back in 2001 in the crime film Blow. Since then, she became one of Nickelodeon’s biggest child actors in the 2000s, and has starred in multiple films. During that time, she also began a singing career that started in the year 2005. She has kept up continuing to have roles in both small and big pictures, and her stock doesn’t seem to be going down anytime soon.

So just how much is Emma Roberts actually worth?

Emma Roberts Net Worth 2018: $15 Million

Roberts starring in numerous projects and receiving several endorsements has her estimated worth at $15 million dollars. And the crazy thing is, she’ still only in her late 20s and hasn’t even reached her prime. So that number will definitely go up in the future.

Early Life

Instagram Photo

Emma Roberts was born in Rhinneback, New York on February 10, 1991 to parents Kelly Cunningham and Eric Roberts. Her father Eric, himself was an actor. As a baby, her parents separated.

Roberts, because of her father and her actress-lauded family, including her aunt Julia Roberts, spent a lot of her childhood on the sets of films. It’s been said that all the time spent on these sets, gave Emma a passion to follow in her father and aunts footsteps into the movie industry.

At the age of nine, Roberts made her acting debut as Johnny Depp’s daughter Kristina Jung in the drama film Blow. It was the first film she had auditioned for, but it was the beginning of he18-year career so far. She was also an extra in Julia’s film American Sweethearts.

In 2002, Roberts appeared in two small roles for family films. She played the sister of the main character in the flick Grand Champion and in the 2006 film, Spymate.

Roberts made the big leap from small roles to her own starring role for Nickelodeon in 2004.

2004-2008

Instagram Photo

The 13-year old became the lead character Addie Singer on the Nick series Unfabulous. The sitcom was a hit. Roberts was given the nomination for a Teen Choice Award as well as several Young Artist Award nods.

While still doing Unfabulous, Roberts returned to the big screen in the teen-fantasy comedy, Aquamarine. Her performance was recognized in 2007 when she was awarded the Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actress in a Feature Film.

Following up Aquamarine, the teen-actress starred in the mystery comedy titled Nancy Drew. Roberts was praised for her performance in the film. And after Unfabulous finished up its third and final season, Roberts decided to head to the big screen full time.

In 2008, she made her voiceover debut for the character Wilma in the CGI-animated film, The Fight Before Christmas. After that, the roles started coming in bunches for Roberts.

2009-2018

Now an adult, in 2009, Roberts starred in the comedy Hotel For Dogs. She also was the lead in the motion-picture Wild Child.

During February 2009, Roberts was named the brand ambassador for Neutrogena, appearing in print and television ads for the company.

Her biggest role to this point in her career came in 2010 when she co-starred as Grace in the romantic-comedy Valentine’s DayA short time after Valentine’s Day, she had played a role in the films, Twelve and It’s Kind of a Funny Story.

In 2011, Roberts acting credits continued to pile up. Her co-starring role alongside actor Freddie Highmore in the comedy The Art of Getting By, and her role as Jill Roberts in Scream 4 showed her flexibility as an actress.

After Scream 4, Roberts graduated from college and met her fiance to be, Evan Peters. Roberts and Peters first met when they worked together on the 2013 film Adult World, where they both starred along with John Cusack. Not too long after Adult World, Roberts played a key role in the hilarious comedy, We’re The Millers.

Roberts returned to television when she appeared in season three of the horror anthology series, American Horror Story from late 2013 to early 2014. While still working on American Horror Story, Roberts received praise for her performance next to James Franco in the film Palo Alto.

Once done with Palo Alto, the now 23-year old kept garnering roles. She played in multiple pictures, I Am MichaelAshbyThe Blackcoat’s Daughter, and Nerve, kept Roberts busy. But she took on a new project in this time, formally known as Scream Queens.

Instagram Photo

Scream Queens lasted 22 episodes. After it not getting picked up for a third season, Roberts took part in another drama flick titled Who Are We Now.

Roberts has just finished two new films, Billionaire Boys Club and Little Italy, which are expected to be released later this year.

Cavaliers vs. Celtics Game 7 Live Stream: How to Watch NBA Playoffs Online

0
0

With NBA Eastern Conference Finals well underway, the series is dead even. This series is between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. So far this series, the home team has dominated every game. Boston had a chance to eliminate the Cavaliers on the road this past Friday but lost 109-99. Now, the series is returning to Boston where the Celtics are undefeated this postseason. However, both teams are now facing elimination in this sudden-death contest so one can expect an extremely competitive contest as both teams lay it all on the line with a berth in the NBA Finals at stake.

Cleveland’s success is due to its best player LeBron James. In the regular season, James  averaged 27.5 points per game on an absurd shooting percentage of 54.2% from the floor. However, James has been even better in the postseason. In 15 playoff games, James has averaged 33.7 points per game along with 9.0 assists and 8.7 rebounds per game. Although he is in his 15th NBA season, James has showed no signs of slowing down and the Celtics seem to have no way of stopping him.

In game six, James went into full beast mode as he single-handedly carried the Cavaliers to a victory. In 46 minutes, James had 46 points along with 11 rebounds and nine assists. However, James will most likely need to duplicate this type of performance now that star teammate Kevin Love is out for game seven due to a concussion. Expect James to have a huge game if the Cavaliers plan on returning to the NBA Finals.

Boston’s regular season success was due to its star point guard Kyrie Irving. During the offseason, the Celtics shocked the NBA world by trading its star point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving. Since joining the Celtics, Irving was phenomenal and was also a borderline MVP candidate. This season, Irving averaged 24.4 points per game along with 5.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds. However, Irving will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.

In Irving’s absence, young players like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have taken over most of the team’s scoring duties. In his second NBA season, Brown averaged 14.5 points per game and 4.9 rebounds a game while shooting a respectable 46.5% from the field. In his rookie season, Tatum averaged 13.9 points per game along with 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 47.5% from the floor. If Boston wants to win this game and ultimately the series without its best player, Brown and Tatum will need to play extremely well.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Cavaliers. Although the Celtics are clearly the better team, one does not simply doubt LeBron James in an elimination game. I might be in the minority when I state that I actually think the Cavaliers are better without Kevin Love. James can now play power forward which should help with the team’s spacing on offense. Ultimately, I will never pick James to get eliminated before the NBA Finals so I think that the Cavaliers will somehow find a way to win this contest.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned across the pond on Sunday, May 27 for UFC Fight Night 130: Thompson vs. Till. In the main event, former UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson faced off against undefeated prospect Darren Till in his hometown of Liverpool, England.

The bout, however, almost never happened.

On the morning of weigh-ins, Till was late to step onto the scale but ultimately given an extra hour due to a “family emergency.” When Till weighed in, he was 3.5 pounds over the mark which put the bout in jeopardy.

Thompson’s camp agreed to take the fight despite Till being overweight, but Till was forced to forfeit 30 percent of his purse and was subject to a fight day weigh-in where he could not surpass 188 pounds. Hours before the fight, Till successfully hit his mark.

So despite all of the fight week drama, we have made it to Sunday and everyone is ready for the fighters to make their way to the cage and for the action to get underway.

Don’t waste another second! The full results and video highlights from Saturday’s pay-per-view can be seen below.

UFC Fight Night 130 Results & Video Highlights

MAIN CARD

Darren Till def. Stephen Thompson via decision (48-47, 49-46, 49-46)

Both men came out willing to feel out their opponents and showing respect for their impressive standup games. Thompson was showing off his movement and feints, while Till was trying to get a handle on the movement of Wonderboy. There was little action in the opening frame, though Thompson landed the stronger counters.

There was more engagement in Round 2, but neither fighter took any major damage. Till was keeping position with low leg kicks while Thompson was content playing the counter game and looking to explode at any given chance. In Round 3, the fight was much of the same, before an accidental eye poke temporarily halted the action. After the restart, Till picked up his output to get the crowd on its feet.

Thompson continued to play the counter game to kickoff the fourth round and was mixing his strikes to the head and body. Till, meanwhile, continued to struggle to figure out Thompson’s movement and was unable to land anything clean. It was a patient, strategic fight entering Round 5.

The fifth round was much of the same, until Till landed a huge shot that dropped Thompson to the canvas.

Till attempted to take advantage of the opportunity, but Thompson quickly recovered and returned to his feet. The two men then circled as time ran out and we went to the judges.

Neil Magny def. Craig White via TKO (knee, punches) – Round 1, 4:32

White, a UFC veteran, found himself as a heavy underdog entering the cage against Magny in his UFC debut. Despite that, he showed no hesitation as he closed the distance early and pressed the UFC vet up against the cage. The action was temporarily halted when White took a shot to the groin. At the restart, White again engaged in the clinch. White attempted a sloppy takedown, but Magny easily countered and found himself in top position. Magny allowed White to stand, which led to the newcomer charging Magny to start another battle of position against the cage. Working in the clinch, Magny slipped a slick knee right to the head of White which forced him to crumble to the mat. Magny then unleashed a barrage of punches to force the ref to step in and end the fight.

Arnold Allen def. Mads Burnell via submission (front choke) – Round 2, 2:41

There was no feeling out process with both men willing to stand in the pocket and trade. Alen was showing better lateral movement, but Burnell was able to continue ducking punches and closing the distance. Burnell was able to land a takedown in the second half of the opening frame but Allen stayed active and was searching for a way out. Allen got back to his feet but found himself back on the mat as the round ended. Burnell picked up where he left off to start Round 2, landing an immediate takedown.

After being dominated on the mat in Round 2, Allen attempted to pick up his output to start the final five minutes, but he was promptly put on his back within 30 seconds. Allen was able to get back to his feet and needed a miracle to get a win.

He did just that. After Burnell shot for another takedown, Allen latched onto Burnell’s neck with a ninja choke and forced Burnell to tap to cap off an epic comeback win.

Makwan Amirkhani def. Jason Knight via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 29-28)

Knight immediately took the center of the Octagon. After a wild exchange, Knight found himself on his back but was able to work back to the feet. Amirkhani cracked Knight with a hard right and Knight called on him to continue moving forward. The two men kept a heavy pace throughout the first round, before Knight landed a brilliant uppercut that crumbled Amirkhani to the mat. Knight immediately jumped on his opponent to look for a fight-ending submission, but Amirkhani survived. Knight dropped Amirkhani again and the two men ended up on the mat with Knight working off his back from the rubberguard. Knight threw up a hail mary triangle attempt at the end of the round, but Amirkhani lasted until the bell.

The pace slowed in the opening minute of Round 2 as each fighter looked to regain their composure. Midway through the round, both fighters began throwing more and Amirkhani eventually landed a takedown in the middle of the cage. After Knight returned to his feet, Amirkhani landed another takedown along the fence with less than one minute in the round. Knight again threw up the rubberguard and held on to set up what could be a decisive Round 3.

Amirkhani opened the final frame with yet another takedown and left Knight again fighting off of his back. The pattern continued for the remainder of the final round, with Amarkhani in Knight’s guard with Knight neutralizing any attack as we headed to the judges.

Claudio Henrique da Silva def. Nordine Taleb via submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 1, 4:31

Both men were looking to impose their will early, but it was Taleb who had the first highlight of the fight with a beautiful leg catch trip that dumped Silva to the mat. Taleb nearly landed a second trip, but Silva was able to keep his balance and the two men looked to trade in the middle of the catch. Silva attempted to charge Taleb, but was tossed to the side. Silva was relentless, however, and finally landed a takedown before moving to half guard. Silva eventually made his way to full mount after Taleb made an ill-advised attack on his leg and rained down some heavy ground-and-pound. Taleb gave up his back and Silva immediately threatened with a rear-naked choke that forced Taleb to tap.

Darren Stewart def. Eric Spicely via TKO (punches) – Round 2, 1:47

Stewart immediately established himself as the quicker fighter, but it was Spicely who was putting together his combinations and was landing with regularity. Stewart was content throwing out a jab and using head movement, but his lack of output gave Stewart an early edge. Stewart was able to use his speed and power better in Round 2, cracking Spicely and forcing him to retreat. Stewart exploded on his opponent and sent Spicely crumbling to the mat before the referee stepped in to save the day.

PRELIMINARY CARD

Tom Breese def. Daniel Kelly via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 3:33

Immediately out of the gate, it appeared that Breese was going to be too fast for Kelly. Breese was quicker on his feet and snapping his punches, while Kelly was struggling to close the distance and land anything of significance. Breese hit Kelly right in the eye which forced Kelly to retreat before the fight-ending barrage of punches.

Lina Lansberg def. Gina Mazany via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

The two women quickly engaged in the center of the octagon and after a brief scramble Mazany clinched her opponent against the cage. Lansberg and Mazany continued to battle for position throughout the round, exchanging short elbows and knees within the clinch.

The second round continued the same way before Mazany changed levels and landed a brief takedown. However, Lansberg bounced back to her feet and the battle for position against the cage resumed. It was much of the same for the remainder of Round 2. Round 3 continued the trend, with a majority of the action against the cage as we went to the judge’s scorecards.

Carlo Pedersoli Jr def. Brad Scott via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

Both men were willing to exchange, with Pedersoli eager to show off his flashy spinning techniques. Pedersoli landed on multiple occasions, but Scott was also able to land some heavy shots of his own as the fight went on. Despite eating some big shots, Pedersoli kept up the high output and was significantly outstriking his opponent. After holding Scott against the cage in the closing minutes, Pedersoli was able to land a takedown that all but clinched his victory.

Gillian Robertson def. Molly McCann via technical submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 2, 2:05

A disastrous fight week continued for local favorite Molly McCann. After missing weight on Friday, McCann found herself fighting off a choke at the end of Round 1. Just two minutes into Round 2, McCann once again had Robertson on her back and was ultimately choked unconscious in front of her home crowd.

Elias Theodorou def. Trevor Smith via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Theodorou and Smith got the event kicked off with an exciting back-and-forth bout that went to the judges. Theodorou came out on top on the judge’s scorecards for his second consecutive win inside of the Octagon.

Giada De Laurentiis is one of the most recognizable personalities on the Food Network. The Italian-born chef is host of Food Network’s Giada at Home, is a mentor on The Next Food Network Star, and also makes appearances on NBC’s Today. Born in Rome, Italy, De Laurentiis was inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame and is a Daytime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Lifestyle Host.

De Laurentis studied at the famed Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and had dreamed of becoming a pastry chef, but after working in several high-profile restaurants and finding herself in front of the camera more, it was clear that the 47-year-old was destined to be a television star.

Along with Giada at Home, De Laurentiis has hosted Everyday Italian, Giada’s Weekend Getaways, and Giada in Paradise among others.

She is the daughter of actress Veronica De Laurentiis and actor-producer Alex De Benedtti. Her grandmother was Dino De Laurentiis, a film producer, which explains why she was a natural in front of the camera.

Despite the family history in the movie business, De Laurentiis never had any interest in film. In fact, she turned down a job on a movie to pursue her culinary dreams despite her family feeling different about her passion for the culinary world.

“The summer before I went to culinary school, my family wanted me to take a job on a movie to make sure that I was making the right decision. I think they hoped I would change my mind about culinary school. They felt that being a woman, I didn’t know what I wanted. They thought that cooking professionally was for men, not women. Being a traditional Italian family, I think they just wanted me to get married and have kids,” she said in an interview with TIME.

“But I went to the set, which was a movie my grandfather was producing with my aunt. She moved me everywhere, from costume design to set design, and nothing clicked for me. I hated it. Nothing about it made me want to get up and work — except for the catering truck. It was interesting for me to see how they did so much from such a little truck.”

Giada was married to fashion designer Todd Thompson and has one daughter, Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson. Jade is named after Giada, which is the Italian rendition of the name. After ending their marriage in 2015, she began dating TV producer Shane Farley.

You Frighten Me Sometimes, Dolorous

Youtube/HBO

As we take a look back before everything went to hell, we find Bernard’s been wrestling with what to do with his way-too-advanced host Dolorous he feels will undoubtedly outgrow the park and programming and basically become exactly who she has this season. While he struggles with the morality of the subject, Dolorous tells him, “No, that’s not what he said.” He, obviously, being Arnold, her creator. Very quickly the tables get turned and Dolorous tells Bernard to freeze all motor functions and now he’s the one in the hot seat. This leads us to believe Bernard’s ethical choices this season have something to do with changes made to his programming earlier on by none other than Dolorous.

Meanwhile, in the present day park, Dolorous and a newly rebooted (and much more violent) Teddy make their way to the repaired train to find her host father, Peter Abernathy, being held at a Delos base by Charlotte Hale. The only way for the humans to be extracted from the park is if they bring Abernathy with them — he has the data they’ve been mining from guest experiences corporate needs. At the end of the day, business is business.

Present day Bernard and Elsie are at the secret Delos base within the park where they’re going through all the corporate coding realizing how twisted their employers really are. Ford has all the codes worth a damn encrypted so deep the only way they can figure out what’s really happening is by extracting Bernard’s host memory file quite literally from this skull and use his programming to counter a way inside Ford’s network as only a high-level host could do.

The Assassin And Her Witch

Youtube/HBO

Back in the Shogun section of the park, Maeve and Akane take care of any more opposing threats, the two being called an assassin and a witch for what they had done last week. The two samurai warriors from rival groups decide to fight for glory in lieu of any more mass murder. Maeve’s champion Musashi slices his way to victory and our pals are back on the road!

Maeve, Hector, Akane, Musashi and the rest of the crew make their way to find Maeve’s daughter. Sizemore and Philip go ahead to find a way out of the park and back in a lab to help with the tracking. The exit is a lot less glamorous than they’d hoped but still effective. Akane and Musashi opt to stay behind, now that they’re oppressors are killed and they can strive to find some semblance of peace. As they slide down a trash chute on the edge of Shogun, they arrive in a really bloody and damaged Delos base. But hey, at least it’s progress.

A tunnel between sections in the park leads Maeve and the group right to the hillside where her daughter should be. She tells Hector and the rest to let her bring her daughter back herself, and they watch from the hill, unsure of what she’ll really find.

Shockingly, Maeve’s daughter IS actually there! However, the kid’s got a new host mother that looks eerily enough like Maeve. The same story begins to pan out just like Maeve remembers as savages show up to kill them. Philip takes off from Sizemore and goes to help Maeve while Sizemore whips out a radio and signals for an extraction for himself. It seems Maeve’s daughter is safe for now, however, she has no idea who Maeve is or the significance their relationship has for her. Only time will tell if her daughter’s mind can also be freed.

Can We Stop Playing Around Now?

Youtube/HBO

William continues to trek his way through the park, now accompanied by his daughter who can more than handle herself against the conscious hosts. The Man In Black tells her where the evac location is, assuming she’ll be on her way. To his surprise, she tells the old man she won’t be leaving without him, and it’s time to stop playing around if he wants to get where he’s really trying to go.

As night falls, William and his daughter have a real talk beside the fire. When all hell broke loose she wound up in the one part of the park she was trying to avoid. William asks her why she bothered to come if she hates him and the family business so much, asking if she had a change of heart. She said she came because she shouldn’t have said her mother’s death was his fault, and that shouldn’t be the last they speak, especially if he has some death wish to get murdered by hosts in an uprising. She asks him to leave with her… an emotional William says they’ll start walking at sun-up, together. When morning comes, the Man In Black is gone. He’s part of a maze of his own making at this point.

Teddy and Dolorous are riding the train that will no doubt lead to more trouble than good. Bernard is going through his old memories like an iPod shuffle only to be met by none other than Dr. Ford. Needless to say, next week looks GOOD.

Rockets vs. Warriors Game 7 Live Stream: How to Watch NBA Playoffs Online

0
0

People say that the greatest two words in sports are “Game Seven.” Now, the NBA Western Conference Finals is about to provide us with one of them. This series is between the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets entered the season with hopes of dethroning the Warriors as Western Conference champions. So far, the Rockets have held their own against the defending champions and are one home victory away from a berth in the NBA Finals. With the series tied at three games apiece, both teams are in must-win territory and will lay it all on the line to win this contest.

Houston’s success is due to its elite duo which consists of James Harden and Chris Paul. This season, Harden has looked like a lock to win the MVP award. Harden averaged 30.4 points and 8.8 assists per game as he carried the Rockets to the best record in the NBA this season. However, unlike previous years, Harden finally has a fellow superstar on his team who might be able to lighten the load for Harden throughout the rest of this series. Assisting Harden is future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul. In his first season with the Rockets, Paul was phenomenal and averaged 18.6 points along 7.9 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game.

In game five, Paul suffered a serious hamstring injury in the final minute of the contest. This injury caused Paul to miss game six on Saturday night in which the Rockets lost 115-86. Although Paul is expected to play in this game, he will definitely not 100% healthy which is a huge blow to Houston’s chances. If Houston plans on realistically winning this contest, Paul will need to play extremely well.

Golden State’s success has been due to its star point guard Stephen Curry and its star forward Kevin Durant. Both players are former MVP award winners and have proven that they are still elite in today’s NBA. This season, Curry averaged 26.4 points per game along with 6.1 assists per game. Curry’s statistics are even more impressive once one factor in his efficiency from the floor. Curry was shooting an absurd 49.5% from the field and 42.3% from the three-point line. However, Curry has struggled a bit in this series with his consistency and is only shooting 33.3% from three point range against Houston. Look for Curry to be more attack the rim more tonight if his three point shooting continues to struggle.

Leading the Warriors now is fellow superstar Kevin Durant. This season, Durant averaged 26.4 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds per game. Similarly to Curry, Durant was also extremely efficient from the floor. He was shooting 51.6% from the field and 41.9% from behind the arc. Unlike Curry, Durant has been unguardable this series and will likely look to keep it going in game five. In this series, Durant has averaged 29.8 points per game while shooting 45.0% from the floor. Expect Durant to put up points in bunches tonight in a must-win game for the Warriors.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Warriors. The Warriors are clearly the better team and should be able to overpower the Rockets regardless of who the home team is. The Warriors have already beaten the Rockets in Houston this series and will now have Andre Iguodala back in the starting lineup after he missed games four through six. It also does not help that Chris Paul is seriously injured and will most likely struggle creating separation on the offensive end. For those reasons, I think that the Warriors will return to the NBA Finals.

Mamoudou Gassama is being hailed as a real-life superhero after a daring rescue. Gassama has been dubbed the “Spider-Man of Paris” after scaling a building in Paris, France to save a four-year-old child who was hanging from the fourth-story balcony of a building.

Spectators watched in awe as Gassama, scaled the building to make his rescue.

The heroic act was caught on tape as Gassama made his way to the child and eventually pulled them to safety.

You can check out the video of the “Spider-Man of Paris” below:

After making the rescue, Gassama met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. Gassama, who is a migrant from Mali, was awarded a medal for courage and offered a role in the fire service. In addition, Macron said he would make Gassama a naturalized citizen.

“With Mr. Gassama who saved the life of a child on Saturday by climbing 4 floors with bare hands. I told him that in recognition of this heroic act he was going to be regularized as soon as possible and that the Paris Fire Brigade was ready to welcome him.
I also invited him to apply for naturalization,” Macron said in a statement written on Facebook. “Because France is a will, and Mr. Gassama demonstrated with commitment that he had it!”

Anne HIdalgo, the mayor of Paris, also praised Gassama’s incredible act.

“He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago, dreaming of building his life here,” the mayor said on Twitter. “I told him that his heroic act is an example to all citizens and that the city of Paris will obviously be very keen to support him in his efforts to settle in France.”

In 2017, only five people were granted residency papers in France because of “exceptional talent” or “services rendered to the community.” The number was six in 2016.

It’s safe to say Mr. Gassama is more than deserving of being one of the lucky few.

Memorial Day 2018 is here, and it’s the official kick-off to the summer. Here at COED, we have compiled the best memes the internet has to offer.

The national holiday is celebrated every year on the last Monday in May. Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember the men and women who have died serving our great country. Often times the holiday is confused with Veterans Day, which celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans. So, while you are out there grilling and drinking your beers remember the reason why we are all able to enjoy those freedoms, because of the sacrifices of many men and women who served the United States.

If you are looking for some patriotic activities to honor the fallen, there is plenty of events to attend. In Washington, D.C. the country’s largest Memorial Day Parade will be taking place down Constitution Avenue. The parade is in its fourteenth year and shares the story of American honor and sacrifice across many generations. If you can’t make the parade, it will be streamed LIVE on YouTube and Military.com.

Another impressive spectacle that takes place on Memorial Day, is the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Run. Started in 1988 with an estimated 2500 motorcycle riders has grown into the largest single-day motorcycle event. The event is dubbed the “Ride for Freedom” and features over 900,000 riders whose course starts at the Pentagon and winds through West Potomac Park.

There is also the Salute for Sacrifice National Memorial Day concert. The event is held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol and features many celebrity performers. This year’s hosts are Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna.

Or, if none of those suit you, just fire up that grill, invite friends and family over, crack open a cold refreshing beer, and remember the fallen service members of our great country.
