Ron Howard is an American actor and filmmaker most recognized for his roles on the Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days.

The 64-year old is also well known for being one of the top successful directors in the movie industry. Apollo 13, EDtv, Cinderella Man, The Da Vinci Code, are just some of the high-profile films that made Howard a household name. And now with his latest work Solo: A Star Wars Story about to kill at the box office, Howard’s value is at an all-time high.

But even with all his accolades and accomplishments, how much is Ron Howard actually worth?

Ron Howard Net Worth 2018: $140 Million

Howard’s work as an actor and director has him worth a large $140 million. No wonder he’s one of the best in the business, the numbers speak for themselves.

Early Life

Howard was born on March 1, 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma. His parents, Jean and Rance Howard, were in the movie industry already when he was born. Jean an actress, and Rance an actor, writer, and director.

At the age of four, Howard and his family moved to Hollywood, California. The house they rented was a block south of Desuli Studios. That studio was later used for the filming of The Andy Griffith Show. Three years later in 1961, his family moved from Hollywood to Burbank.

At Desuli, Howard was tutored in both acting and directing from a young age. In 1959, he was credited with his first acting role on The Andy Griffith Show. He became a member of the show in 1960, along with a few other roles in The DuPont Show with June AllysonDennis The MenaceThe Many Loves of Dobbie Gillis, and The Cheyenne Show.

In 1962, Howard received his first movie role as Winthrop Paroo in The Music Man. A year later, he starred in the film, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.

Howard graduated from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California. After graduating, he attended the University of California’s School of Cinematic Arts but did not graduate.

1973-1980

Howard continued to garner roles heading into his teen years. At age 19, he starred in George Lucas’s classic film, American Grafitti. His performance in that film and the show Love, American Style led to him being cast for one of the greatest sitcoms of all-time, Happy Days.

Starting in 1974, Howard played a likable, “buttoned up” character named Richie Cunningham. He would play the role for six years until the show ended in 1980.

Howard found the love of his life Cheryl Alley in the early 70’s and the two were married in 1975.

In 1976, Howard played the role of Gillom Rogers with the legendary John Wayne, in the American Western, The Shootist. By 1977, he was divulging into becoming a director. He directed a low-budget comedy/action film titled, Grand Theft Auto.

Howard received his first Golden Globe Award in 1978. He won the award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy for his work on Happy Days.

After Grand Theft Auto, Howard started racking up directorial credits and building a reputation around Hollywood.

1980-2000

Howard directed the films, Night ShiftCocoonGung Ho, and No Man’s Land in the early 80’s, while also continuing to act on many television shows.

In 1987, Howard partnered with fellow legendary filmmaker George Lucas on the fantasy flim, Willow. Following Willow, Howard took a two-year sabbatical from directing until coming back with the comedy-drama flick Parenthood in 1989. He also was an executive on the 1991 biographic motion-picture about the legendary American band The Doors.

Between 1991 and 1994, Howard was non-stop, directing BackdraftFar and AwayThe Magical World of Chuck Jones, and The Paper. After those four pictures, Howard directed his best film to date in the space docudrama, Apollo 13. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Director for Apollo 13, despite losing to Mel Gibson’s Braveheart.

Howard followed up Apollo 13, with Ransom (1996), EDtv (1999), and How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). He also voiced the character Tom Colonic in the animated film Osmosis Jones.

2001-2018

In 2001, Howard directed and acted in one of his greatest works, A Beautiful Mind.  The film won Howard Best Picture and Best Director Award at the 2002 Academy Awards, and Best Motion Drama at the 2002 Golden Globes.

Two years later, Howard’s next directed film The Missing hit theaters. Also in that year, he took on the role of narrator of one of the funniest tv sitcoms of the decade, Arrested Development. He and Russell Crowe collaborated again in 2005 for the biographical sports drama Cinderella Man. The film received nominations at both the Academy and Golden Globe Awards.

A year after Cinderella Man, Howard directed The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks. The film was not an overall success. But his next two films, Frost/Nixon (2008) and Angels & Demons (2009), put Howard back on the map. Howard once again received nods for Best Director (Academy and Golden Globes) and Best Picture (Academy) for Frost/Nixon.

By 2010, Howard had been producing an animated program with the famous children’s character, Curious George. After four years of the show, he won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program. Howard continued to direct as the new decade got underway. The DilemmaRushMade in America, and In The Heart of The See were all done under Howard’s watch.

In 2016, Howard, who is a lifelong Beatles fan, directed the documentary, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week. The documentary won Howard Best Music Film at the 2017 Grammy Awards. His 2016 movie Inferno also was a box-office hit.

Now in 2018, after a two-year hiatus, Howard is back with the next flick in the Star Wars triology. Solo: A Star Wars Story. He is already slated to direct another film, The Perfect Wife, in the coming future.

André Leon Talley Net Worth 2018: How Much is Talley Worth?

You probably recognize André Leon Talley from all those America’s Next Top Model episodes you binge-watched while sitting on your couch listening to Tyra Banks religiously tell each contestant how to “smize” (aka. smile with your eyes). Talley was the judge who wore over-the-top outfits and made snarky comments that enabled you to go fetch your teapot and start brewing. He was also the former editor-at-large of Vogue Magazine and therefore friends with the ever-intimidating Anna Wintour. Most notably though, Talley has been a person throughout his life who has been able to stand in the face of conformity and laugh.

He’s a stylist and fashion icon who despite outside pressure and influence, has stayed true to himself. In his new documentary, ‘The Gospel According to André,’ you witness how a legend of the fashion world got his start, and he didn’t do it by coloring inside the lines. Let’s see how much the former Southern boy is worth today!

André Leon Talley Net Worth 2018: $5 Million

As of 2018, Talley has a net worth estimated to be around $5 million.

Early Years

Instagram Photo

Talley was born in Durham, North Carolina on October 16, 1949. He was raised by his grandmother and mother during the pre-civil rights era where he attended all-black schools. In interviews, Talley mentions how his grandmother would never allow any white person to enter their house unless they were the coroner. Throughout his childhood, he was greatly influenced by his grandmother and credits her for his unique fashion sense. It was also during this time Talley opened his first Vogue magazine. He ventured into a library located in the white section of town and quickly became a dedicated reader.

1970-1975

Instagram Photo

Talley then attended Brown University after obtaining a scholarship. He originally had dreams to become a French teacher so he earned his M.A. in French studies in 1973. However, the images of the beautiful women dressed in elegant and eccentric clothing he saw between the pages of Vogue all those years before, never left his mind. The fashion industry beckoned Talley, and finally, he answered. He moved to New York City and became an assistant to Andy Warhol.

1975-2013

Instagram Photo

Talley got started in fashion journalism, and he was one of the few African Americans to do so. At 28, he became a reporter for Women’s Wear Daily where he encountered racism from a few of his white female colleagues. From there, he took on the role as protégé for Diana Vreeland, the former editor-in-chief of Vogue. He additionally worked for Interview, New York Times, and other publications before officially landing a full-time position at Vogue in 1983 as the fashion news director.

Five years later, he was promoted to creative director and with this position, he made it his mission to promote the talent of more African-American designers and models. In 1998, he moved up on the Vogue ladder and adopted the title of editor-at-large. He has since made appearances in the feature film Sex and the City along with the movie-documentaries, Valentino: The Last Emperor and The September Issue.

2013-Present

In 2008, Talley became the board trustee at the Savannah College of Art and Design and in 2014, held the Artistic Director position for Zappos Couture. He has published a number of books including, A.LT.: A MemoirA.L.T 365+, and Little Black Dress. After stepping down as editor-at-large for Vogue, he took on the editor-in-chief position for an international magazine based in Russia, Numero Russia. At 68 years-old, Talley remains an active presence in the style industry and has earned the well-deserved title as being one of the most prominent African Americans among the fashion elite.

Capitals vs. Golden Knights Game 1 Live Stream: How to Watch Stanley Cup Online

At long last, the NHL Stanley Cup Finals are finally upon us. This series is between the Washington Capitals and the Vegas Golden Knights. Both teams were able to win clinch their spots in the Stanley Cup on the road in the previous series which should be a good indicator about how unpredictable this series might be. Since Vegas had more points during the regular season, it has been gifted home-ice for the series. However, the Capitals are used to winning on the road and will be looking to strike first in the franchise’s first Stanley Cup Finals appearance since 1998. Expect this game to be extremely competitive as both teams want to take a lead in this series.

Washington’s postseason success is due to its elite scoring depth which consists of Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Evgeny Kuznetsov. During the regular season, Ovechkin led the team in points with 87 and had an astonishing 49 goals in 82 games. During the playoffs, Ovechkin has continued to score regularly and has 12 goals in just 19 playoff games. Backstrom missed part of the playoffs due to injuries but has managed to average over one point per game in 15 playoff games. Kuznetsov has been phenomenal this postseason and leads the team in points with 24. If the Capitals plan on winning this game, all three of them will need to be at their best.

Vegas’ success has been due to its star goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. Since it is Vegas’ first official season in the NHL, the organization partook in an expansion draft during the offseason. In the draft, Vegas decided to take goalie Marc-Andre Fleury from the Pittsburgh Penguins as the team hoped that he would carry it to a potential playoff berth. Since joining Vegas, Fleury has been godly. This season, Fleury went 29-13-4 with a 2.24 goals against average. However, he has been even better in the playoffs. In 15 starts, Fleury is 12-3 with a 1.68 goals against average. Fleury also has had four shutouts already this postseason and he will look to shut down this potent Washington offense again on Monday night.

As for my prediction, I have to side with the Knights. Vegas has a tremendous home ice advantage and has used it throughout the whole season. Vegas went 29-10-2 at home this season and I expect the T-Mobile Arena to be rocking on Monday. I think that the game will be really close and low scoring but I think that Fleury will be fantastic again as he carries the Knights to a 1-0 series lead.

NHL Playoffs 2018: Stanley Cup Finals Preview

After a grueling 82-game regular season and thrilling three rounds of playoffs, we’re down to the final two. Tonight, the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights square off in the first game of the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals.

Both teams were not expected to be in this position, but yet, here they stand, each just four wins away from hockey’s most coveted prize. This series has two excellent storylines. One team — the Vegas Golden Knights — trying to conclude the greatest story in sports in the past 50 years. The other — the Washington Capitals — trying to win their first championship in franchise history and have their franchise player Alex Ovechkin, finally cement his legacy as one of the best to ever step on the ice.

Every Stanley Cup Finals has its fair share of memorable moments, but starting this evening, hockey fans could be in for something really special, drama included. Here’s our preview of the Cup Final.

Tale of the Tape

Washington Capitals: Founded 1974, Two Conference Championships (1997-98, 2017-18), Three Presidents’ Trophies (2009-10, 2015-16, 2016-17), 11 Division Championships (1988–891999–002000–012007–082008–092009–102010–112012–132015–162016–172017–18)

Vegas Golden Knights: Founded 2016, One Conference Championship (2017-18), One Division Championship (2017-18)

How They Got There

Washington Capitals (12-7 in the postseason):

Instagram Photo

Won the Metropolitan Division with 105 points. Came back from 2-0 to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in six games. Dethrowned the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins in six. Outlasted the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games (consecutive shutouts in games six and seven).

Vegas Golden Knights (12-3 in the postseason):

Instagram Photo

Won the Pacific Division with 109 points. Swept the Los Angeles Kings 4-0 in the West Quarterfinals. Overpowered the San Jose Sharks in six games in the Semis. Blitzed by the Winnipeg Jets in five games (four straight wins after losing game one).

Offense:

This Cup Final might feature two of the most explosive attacks we’ve seen in quite some time.

Both these teams are surrounded by speed, scoring, and a ton of skill. Vegas sports a well-balanced group that is extremely tenacious, while the Capitals are deadly and can roll four lines.

William “Wild Bill” Karlsson leads the Vegas charge with Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith. Karlsson went from six goals to 43 after being drafted from Columbus and has kept his goal-scoring prowess, tallying six through the first three rounds. Marchessault and Smith, two defectors from the Panthers, had outstanding regular seasons, and have continued to spark their team throughout the team’s run.

Vegas is loaded on their second and third lines with unsung players who pound the opposition. Erik Haula, James Neal, Tomas Nosek, Cody Eakin, and Ryan Carpenter have all shined in the postseason. Alex Tuch has shot into the spotlight with his overwhelming size and shot. Tomas Tatar brings his wealth of experience from his Red Wings days, along with some good hands.

The Golden Knights at the bottom of the forward corps have a lot of jam and a lunch-pail mentality with Ryan Reaves and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.

For Barry Trotz, the offense starts and finishes with the superstar and future Hall of Famer Alex Ovechkin.

Ovechkin has had a phenomenal regular season with 49 goals and 38 assists for 87 points. It was a fantastic rebound from his campaign the year prior where he only recorded 69 points. Ovi became a 600 goal scorer during the regular season. But now on the verge of his first Cup, he has solidified his greatness in the postseason with 22 points in 19 games.

After Ovechkin, the Caps are equipped with the brilliance of Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nicklas Backstrom. Kuznetsov has been the best player in the postseason with 24 points. Backstrom has quietly excelled in the tournament along with T.J. Oshie, Lars Eller, Tom Wilson, and Jay Beagle. Washington has received excellent contributions from unknowns Andre Burakovsky, Chandler Stephenson, and Devante Smith-Pelly,

Rounding out the Capitals attack, rookie Jakub Vrana, Alex Chaisson, and Brett Connolly are a solid threesome.

Advantage: Capitals

Defense

It might be hard to expect a whole lot of defense to be played in this series, but both teams are outfitted with a solid amount of blueliners.

Washington’s backend is headlined by John Carlson. Carlson, had a spectacular regular season notching 51 points in 95 games. One of the best two-way defensemen in the game, his partner Dmitry Orlov is no slouch himself. Once Karl Alzner left for Montreal last summer, Orlov became the number-two man on the Caps blueline. He’s been successful in his new role.

Behind Carlson and Orlov, is grizzled veteran Brooks Orpik. Orpik is in the midst of playing the best hockey of his career. He’s been the most reliable d-men for Washington in the playoffs. Matt Niskanen, whose playoff experience has been on display this spring hasn’t gone unnoticed. Rookies Michal Kempny and Christain Djoos have been very sharp as the last line of defense (pardon the pun).

Instagram Photo

The opposing defense for the Golden Knights is filled with studs and no-names. But those studs and no-names, make up the fastest and hardest working d-corps in the game.

Former Capital, Nate Schmidt, has been a rock on for Vegas all season-long, and his play in the playoffs has him primed for a very bright future. He’s proven to be dependable at both ends of the ice. His counterpart, Brayden McNabb, has found a home garnering top-flight minutes and using his 6’4 frame to his advantage.

Another star in the making, Shea Theodore, who was stolen from the Ducks, has played wonderfully for Vegas in their 15 postseason games. He’s led the Golden Knights in the playoffs for points by a defenseman, once again showing he’s on the cusp of big things. Captain Deryk Engelland, a Las Vegas native, has revived his career and has turned in to a fantastic leader for the Knights.

The final parts of the Golden Knights backend, Colin Miller, and Luca Sbisa have been effective when called to action. Miller more than Sbisa with his wicked shot and defensive capabilities.

Advantage: Capitals

Instagram Photo

Goaltending

Many will say that this goaltending matchup was meant to be, for the simple fact that Marc Andre-Fleury and Braden Holtby are very familiar with each other from the times they met when Fleury donned the Penguins crest.

But now a new chapter will be written, with both puck-stoppers at the top of their game.

Marc Andre-Fleury has been the face of the Golden Knights since he was drafted last summer. And even after getting hurt early in the season, Fleury rebounded and became an intricate part of the unbelievable story taking place in Sin City. And after a remarkable regular season, Fleury has turned back the clock in the playoffs, literally being lights out except for one or two bumps in the road. The 33-year old is 12-3 in the postseason so far and is playing in his third consecutive Cup Final.

Instagram Photo

If Fleury backstops Vegas to the title, it will be his fourth Stanley Cup win, putting him in a select group of goaltenders in NHL history to win four Cups.

On the other end, Braden Holtby has taken a long road, finally getting the Capitals to the Final.

For years, Holtby was known as a choker in the playoffs, never making the big stop and failing to come up in the clutch. But something changed for Holtby after his not so stellar second half of the regular season and benching in the first two games of the playoffs for Philipp Grubauer, the switch turned on. Holtby has since shown he’s a playoff caliber goalie, winning four straight games over the Blue Jackets, exercising his demons against the Pens, and posting two straight goose-eggs in his team’s comeback from 3-2 against Tampa in games six and seven.

Advantage: Golden Knights

Instagram Photo

Special Teams, Intangibles, Coaching, X-Factors, Prediction

The special teams battle in this series could be the deciding factor.

Washington’s power play has always been lethal with Ovechkin and Backstrom at the helm. That hasn’t changed in this year’s postseason. Their penalty kill struggled on their path to the Cup, but not allowing the Lightning’s vaunted power play to capitalize in games six and seven, could be a huge spark against a struggling Vegas man-advantage.

Speaking of the Golden Knights, their power play and penalty kill in the regular season were both just outside the top ten in the league. But in the playoffs, their power play hasn’t found the right chord. That can possibly change in the final round. Down a man, the Knights have been dominant, with Karlsson and Smith able to strike as quickly as anyone in the playoffs.

And in terms of intangibles, these two clubs have a significant quality.

For Vegas, they really have nothing to lose. They’ve already written not only one of hockey’s but sports most unlikely tales. No one in their right mind would have expected them to be in the position they so rightfully claim after not having a roster at this time a year ago.

Instagram Photo

Meanwhile, for the Capitals, there’s that aura around them that this is finally their time. They’ve gone through years of heartbreak, Ovechkin has finally paid his dues, they finally got through the hated Penguins. I don’t know, something says the Cup could finally be heading to the Nation’s Capital for the first time ever.

The coaching battle has a unique twist that will be great to watch.

Gerard Gallant, thrown out on the street from his prior gig, has done an extraordinary job with some deemed a throwaway roster. He’s going to win the Jack Adams Award for sure. Winning a Stanley Cup would just make that accomplishment a whole lot sweeter.

Instagram Photo

Barry Trotz was brought in to get the Capitals to this point. Successful in his long stint in Nashville, but now on the precipice of coaching a Cup winner, Trotz’s job behind the bench this year has been astounding. With a future yet to be determined, finally winning that elusive Stanley Cup would be the ultimate ending to his coaching career.

Every series has its X-factor. If I’m looking for one for each team in this series, it’s Chandler Stephenson for Washington and Ryan Carpenter for Vegas.

I don’t like to make predictions, but the magic carpet ride ends for the Golden Knights and Ovi finally lifts the Cup. Caps in 7.

WWE Raw Live Stream: How To Watch Monday Night Raw Online – 05/28/18

Monday Night Raw looks to end this Memorial Day Weekend with a bang. There will be a title defense, the last chance for superstars to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match will be on the line, and egos will be put to the test. The flagship show is packed for Memorial Day, here are some things to look forward to and where to watch it!

Tonight Raw will be in The Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.

Roman Reigns will have a chance at revenge against Jinder Mahal at MITB but tonight Mahal will have his hands full with The Big Dog’s brother from The Sheild. Seth Rollins has consistently proven he is a fighting champion and will put his Intercontinental Title on the line tonight against The Modern Day Maharaja. Rollins has proved a tall order for any competitor who has answered his open challenge but Mahal is no stranger to championship pressure. The former WWE Champion and United States Champion was also Rollins opponent to decide the first-ever NXT Champion years ago, a match that Rollins won. Will it be a repeat of their time in developmental or will Mahal come out the victor this time?

The Women’s division will have a barn burner of a qualifier for the MITB tonight. Seven women will compete in a gauntlet match for a chance to be in the Ladder match at MITB. With all three members of the Riott Squad involved and Bayley and Sasha Banks in the lineup, relationships will be tested. Add in Dana Brooke and Mickie James and you have an explosive group of women fighting for one spot.

Speaking of strong women, what will Nia Jax have to say to Ronda Rousey tonight? Last week we saw Stephanie McMahon goad the two women into a fury when they were signing their contract for their title match at MITB. Neither woman is prone to backing down and there is a Title and egos on the line, what will the have to say to each other tonight?

Will we see a fall out from Sami Zayn’s cringe-worthy segment from last week? Bobby Lashley came out to address the three men dressed as his sisters as Zayn pretended to get stories of how terrible Lashley was as a child from the faux sisters. Garnering a lot of ire from fans, it’ll be interesting to see how they course correct from the bit.

Becca Kufrin: Hottest Photos Of The Bachelorette

Becca Kufrin is set to be the latest star of ABC’s hit show The Bachelorette. Kufrin is the fourteenth “Bachelorette” in the history of the show, after an appearance on season 22 of The Bachelor which ended in unthinkable heartbreak. Kufrin made the final three of her season and was initially picked by two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Arie Luyendyk Jr. before being humiliated in front of a national audience.

During the live season finale of the show, Luyendyk ended his engagement to Kufrin and began a relationship with Lauren Burnham, the runner-up of the season.

Because of the wild and unexpected ending, Kufrin saw plenty of support which led to her casting as lead of The Bachelorette.

Now, Kufrin is in the driver’s seat and gets to make her pick out of 28 potential suitors. And if her quotes are any indication, there could be plenty of drama off the bat.

“I was not expecting drama on night one, which we got a taste of,” Becca told E! News. “I mean, that’s scattered throughout the season. There were a lot of laughs, a lot of tears, some fights between the guys, and so that will all play out.”

Kufrin is a Minnesota native and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University. Her father died of brain cancer when she was just 19, and her mother is a breast cancer survivor. That has led to her advocacy for the cause, including turning money raised following The Bachelor debacle from fan support into a donation to Stand Up to Cancer. ABC matched Kufrin’s donation.

Season 14 of The Bachelorette premieres on ABC Monday, May 28, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Becca Kufrin is returning to reality television and this time she is hoping things turn out better than her first go-around. After suffering heartbreak on season 22 of the ABC hit series The Bachelor, Kufrin was cast as the fourteenth lead on The Bachelorette. Now, it’s her turn in the driver’s seat.

But before we get to her next journey, it’s important to remember what got Kufrin to this point.

Kufrin was the initial winner of season 22 of The Bachelor and got engaged to two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Arie Luyendyk Jr. Then, things took a turn for the worst.

Before the show stopped airing, Luyendyk called off his engagement with Kufrin to start a relationship with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The break-up aired during the season’s live two-day finale, so the crowd got to see an unedited look at a first in Bachelor history.

Kufrin is hoping to find true love this time around after bouncing back from the brutal experience. After being nervous entering the season, it has been revealed that Kufrin is again engaged and believes she has truly found the one.

“I feel like I finally found my missing puzzle piece,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE. “I just can’t wipe the smile off my face. I wanted someone who is genuine, someone who can open up and be vulnerable and really show me who they are — and I found that.”

Season 14 of The Bachelorette premieres on ABC Monday, May 28, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Professional mixed martial artist Carmella James is in critical condition. The 24-year-old Bellator veteran was driving her bicycle on her way to work when she was struck by a suspected drunk driver. James was struggling with finances, according to her coach Marcio Laselva, and was riding her bike because she had no money for gas.

James reportedly suffered severe head trauma in the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Larry Gaines, was arrested and charged with suspicion of aggravated battery and DUI (4th or more). He is currently being held on $100,000 bond.

According to Laselva, James was working towards a platform that would allow her to be a positive role model and talk to those in her community about how you can make it out of difficult situations with a strong faith in Jesus.

“She wanted a platform to talk about Jesus, talk about changes, being a voice for the community that you can actually come out of all of these situations,” he said, via local NBC affiliate KSN-3. “She wanted to be seen as an example that we actually can. She was going to make it.”

She also recently signed a contract to return to the cage later this year.

“We actually just signed a contract last week. She was going to fight in Louisiana and I just had to send him a message and say I don’t think she’s going to make it to this fight,” Laselva added.

Laselva MMA and Fitness has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for James’ medical expenses during her recovery. You can donate to the fundraiser by clicking here.

Our deepest condolences are with James, her family and friends as she faces her tough fight ahead.

There will be no farewell fight for Michael Bisping. On Monday, May 28, the former Ultimate Fighting champion and UFC middleweight titleholder officially announced his retirement from mixed martial arts. Bisping announced his retirement during Monday’s episode of his Believe You Me Podcast.

“So obviously I’ve teased this for a long time now, I might fight again, I might not. And unfortunately it’s not a fight that I’m announcing. I am going to announce my official retirement from mixed martial arts,” Bisping said.

“I was watching this movie last night and I just thought, it ain’t worth it. It ain’t worth it. I mean, what else am I going to do? I’ve won the belt, I’ve had tons of wins, I’ve done everything that I set out to achieve. What’s the point in flogging a dead horse? Not that I’m a dead horse, but what’s the point? I’ve done everything that I set out to achieve, and fortunately now I’ve used my platform to open other doors. You know, you’ve got to know when to walk away. I’m almost 40 years old, the time is now. So, I want to say, first of all, thank you to my wife. Without her, it wouldn’t have happened. That’s a fact. She was incredible every single step of the way. My children. My dad. My dad was amazing. And of course everyone in the U.K. and around the world that supported me.

“So, yeah, there you go. Great career. That’s that. Thank you everybody.”

Bisping, a former Cage Warriors and FX3 light heavyweight champion, won season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter. He racked up a 14-0 record before losing to future UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans. Following the first loss of his career, Bisping moved to middleweight. He then spent eight long years as one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC before ultimately receiving his title shot at UFC 199 in 2016.

It was there that Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold to claim the title. He would go on to successfully defend the title against Dan Henderson, before dropping the belt to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217 in 2017. The following fight, which ended up being the final bout of his career, was a devastating knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum just three weeks after he lost the title.

Bisping’s manager Audie Attar released the following statement to MMAFighting.com:

“Congrats to Michael on a Hall of Fame career. The Ultimate Fighter winner, two-time Ultimate fighter coach, winningest fighter in UFC history and first British UFC Champion in history. I’ve been honored to work with Michael towards the championship years and have watched him fight through trials and tribulations as he was a perennial title contender, ultimately reaching the sport’s greatest achievement by winning a UFC Championship.

“Through all that he has achieved, the one thing I’m most proud of is how hard he fought for his family’s future, risking his life on the line each time he stepped into the octagon. I am proud to call Michael a client, but more importantly a dear friend. Now it’s time for Michael to achieve greatness in the next phase of his professional career, and the future looks bright, Mr. Bisping. Thank you for all that you’ve done for our sport.”

Now that Bisping is done competing inside of the Octagon, we can expect to see him move on to a successful career as a broadcaster and analyst on UFC broadcasts.

Congratulations to Bisping on a long and successful Hall of Fame career.

He added: “Presenting… standing five feet six inches tall, she has trained for this day for 15 years, hailing from Adelaide, Australia; Rebecca!”

Michael and Rebecca became engaged in 2008, before finally tying the knot in 2014.

“She always had faith in me. I had nothing when I met her, and we had nothing for quite some time afterwards as well. But she always thought I’d be able to make something of myself,” Bisping recalled.

On Monday, May 28, 2018, Bisping officially announced his retirement from mixed martial arts after being finished in two consecutive fights.

“It ain’t worth it,” Bisping said on his “Believe You Me” podcast. “What else am I going to do? I won the belt, I’ve had tons of wins. I’ve done everything I set out to achieve.

“What’s the point of flogging a dead horse? Not that I’m a dead horse, but what’s the point? … I’ve used my platform to open other doors. You’ve got to know when to walk away. I’m almost 40 years old – the time is now.”

Now, he can enjoy more quality time with his family in California.

About Michael Bisping

Bisping was born February 28, 1979, on a British Military Base in Nicosia, Cyprus. His grandfather fled Poland to England following the German Invasion, and Bisping’s family is of noble descent in Poland which led to his moniker “The Count.” Bisping is married to his wife, Rebecca, and the couple has three children.

Early Career (2004-2005)

Bisping began his professional mixed martial arts career as a star on the local circuit. He began his career with a submission victory and racked up a record of 10-0 before getting noticed by UFC officials. During that span, Bisping finished all 10 of his fights — 6 KOs, 4 submissions — and captured the Cage Rage, Cage Warriors, and FX3 light heavyweight championships. Bisping defended his Cage Warriors belt three times before accepting a spot on The Ultimate Fighter.

The Ultimate Fighter

Bisping was cast on The Ultimate Fighter 3: Team Ortiz vs. Team Shamrock, where he continued to compete in the light heavyweight division. Bisping earned a first-round TKO victory over Kristian Rothaermel in the elimination round of the tournament, before submitting Ross Pointon in the semi-finals. Pointon replaced Matt Hamill, who was injured in his opening round fight.

In the season finale, Bisping scored a second-round TKO over Team Ortiz teammate Josh Haynes to win the season 3 tournament and earn a six-figure contract.

UFC Career (2006-2017)

Once in the UFC, Bisping hauled off three consecutive wins to extend his record to 14-0. He then faced off against future UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and suffered the first loss of his career. After the loss to Evans, Bisping made the move down to middleweight with the hope of making a title run.

Bisping was an eventual mainstay on the UFC roster and was consistently in marquee matches on the promotion’s pay-per-view cards. With multiple Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night honors, “The Count” solidified himself as a fighter to watch.

He came close to securing a title shot on multiple occasions but would fall short in title elimination bouts, before finally earning a title shot at UFC 199 against Luke Rockhold after a win over Anderson Silva. Bisping knocked out Rockhold in the first round and would go on to defend his title against Dan Henderson four months later.

On Monday, May 28, 2018, Bisping officially announced his retirement from mixed martial arts. He dropped his belt to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217 and then suffered a devastating knockout loss three weeks later.

Now, Bisping appears poised to have a career in the broadcasting booth.

According to reports, authorities alerted students on Sunday, May 27, that a woman sleeping on an upper floor of the Phi Kappa Theta house called police to report that she woke up to an unknown man touching her leg.

Authorities say that the suspect ran away and police were unable to find someone matching his description inside the fraternity house. In the meantime, they are urging students to take precautions like locking windows and doors.

via CBS:

The report comes just days after an alleged rape at the university’s Theta Delta Chi chapter. On Wednesday, May 23, an alert was sent out to the MIT community about an alleged rape at the Theta Delta Chi fraternity house. Sergio Ramos is a Spanish soccer player for Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. He has been a fixture on Real Madrid as their center defender since 2005, as well as holding a captain position since 2009. Ramos has also been a part of the Spanish national team since 2006. Today he is still playing for Real Madrid as their primary center defender.

Sergio Ramos Net Worth 2018: $60 Million

From a number of different sources, Sergio Ramos appears to be worth around $60 Million. He makes $14 Million a year from Real Madrid alone. Ramos also currently has a shoe deal with Nike, adding to his already massive yearly income.

Ramos got his professional start playing for his local tea, Sevilla FC. He spent his first season for Sevilla playing for their B team. Ramos played very well for them as the following season, he was brought up to their regular team. He appeared in 41 games for his club in the 2004-05 season and helped them qualify for the UEFA Cup. Following this season, Ramos was bought by Real Madrid.

2005-2009

During the summer of 2005, Ramos made the move over to Real Madrid. He played well for the club but was not yet the star we know him as today. Playing primarily center defender, Ramos struggled early but learned quickly, helping Real Madrid win the Liga title in 2007.

At this point, Ramos had also been selected to play for the Spanish national team. When he made his first appearance with the team, he became the youngest player at the time to do so. When the 2006 world cup came around, he became Spain’s first choice as right back defender.

Ramos really began to hit his stride in 2008. The center defender, with his unusual knack for scoring goals as a defender, propelled his team to victory in the 2008 Supercopa de Espana. For the 2008 UEFA Cup, Ramos was a regular of the starting 11, pushing his team to the eventual win over Germany. At the end of the season Ramos was named to both the UEFA and FIFA Team of the Year. Between 2005-09, Ramos scored 24 goals.

2009 marked a turning point in Ramos’ career. For the first time, Ramos was named a captain of Real Madrid. Along with the recently acquired Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, Real Madrid were expected to be the favorite to win the league title, but failed to do so. With a new manager for the 2010 campaign, Real Madrid played to expectations, taking home the Copa del Rey.

For the 2010 World Cup, Ramos played every minute of the tournament, leading the team to victory over the Netherlands, 1-0, in the final. In his following Real Madrid season, the new world champion led his team to the La Liga championship title. At this point, Ramos was hailed as one of the best defenders in all of professional soccer.

Since his World Cup win, has helped Real Madrid win the La Liga title in 2011-12 and 2016-17, the Supercopa de Espana in 2012 and 2017, the Copa de Rey in 2013-14, the UEFA Champions League in 2013-14, 2015-16 and 2016-17, the UEFA Super Cup in 2014, 2016 and 2017, and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2014, 2016 and 2017. As well as the 2012 UEFA cup with Spain’s national team.

Ramos is without a doubt one of the greatest defenders to have ever played the games, and he’s still going. He will be a part of his third World Cup team for 2018, and is signed with Real Madrid through 2020.
