The Early Years

A native of Roubaix, Arnault attended École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, where he graduated with an engineering degree in 1971, at which point he joined his father’s civil engineering company, Ferret-Savinel. While working there, he convinced his father to liquidate the construction division of the company and change focus towards real estates. After it was renamed Férinel, Arnault rose to become the company’s Director of Company Development in 1974, CEO in 1977 and succeeded his father as president in 1979.

1984-1989

In 1984, Arnault acquired the Financière Agache, a luxury goods company, with the aid of Antoine Bernheim, a senior partner of Lazard Frères. Becoming its CEO, he later took control of the Boussac Saint-Frères textile company. 1987 saw the creation of LVMH, itself a merger of fashion house Louis Vuitton and Moet Hennessy, Over the years, LVMH has acquired various firms, including Guerlain, Berluti and Kenzo.

1990-Present

In the 1990’s, Arnault decided to branch out to the United States with an LVMH center in New York, with the project ultimately becoming the LVMH Tower that opened in December 1999. Around this time, he started to invest in the internet, with web companies like Boo.com, Libertysurf and Zebank. Groupe Arnault also invested in Netflix by 1999. By 2008, it was announced that Arnault joined the yacht industry, purchasing Princess Yachts for 253 million euros, eventually taking control of Royal van Lent. During this period, he also saw interest in art, owning the Phillips de Pury & Company art auction house. In 2006, Arnault started the building project of the Louis Vuitton Foundation, which had its grand opening at the Jardin d’Acclimatation Paris in October 2014.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Rousey was originally scheduled to face James in a singles match before it was changed to a six-woman tag. The match was built around Moon and Nattie attempting to get to Rousey for a hot tag. When the former MMA fighter entered about eight minutes into the match, she took down all three of her opponents before locking on her submission for the win.

Rousey is set to face off against Nia Jaz for the RAW Women’s Championship next month at WWE Money in the Bank.

Santa Fe High School in West Texas is on lockdown after reports of shots fired and an active shooter situation on campus. According to reports, life flight and deputies were called to the scene. Santa Fe High School has around 1,400 students and the situation reportedly began as classes were about to begin during first period.

One eye-witness claims a “gun person” walked into her classroom and that one of her female classmates was shot in the leg by a weapon that looked like “a shotgun.”

Some students say they were evacuated down the street to a nearby business as police surrounded the school. There are unconfirmed reports police officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect and there are injuries at the scene.

Santa Fe is approximately 30 miles southeast of Houston.

The school district is on lockdown.

“We’re currently in protect mode as a precaution because of reports of a shooting at Santa Fe HS. Doors are locked and personnel are stationed at outer doors to let people in and out. No students allowed outside of building. Field trips are postponed until we go off of protect mode,” a stateent from the Dickinson Independent School District read.

While there is little information known at this time, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they are sending deputies to the scene.

Schulman was born on September 26, 1984, in New York City. After the success of the documentary, in 2012, Schulman became the host and executive producer of the follow-up show Catfish: The TV Show for MTV. In the show, he and his filmmaking partner Max Joseph, introduce couples in real life who have fallen for each other online but have yet to meet. Schulman has written a book, In Real Life: Love, Lies & Identity in the Digital Age (2014). In it, he gives both personal history and observations gleaned from his work on Catfish.

2016-Present

In May 2016, Schulman announced he was expecting his first child, a baby girl, with his girlfriend, Laura Perlongo. Laura gave birth to their daughter, Cleo James, later that year and Schulman and Perlongo married in July 2017. In May 2018, Nev Schulman was accused of sexually harassing a former guest on the show. MTV subsequently suspended production of Catfish while the investigation is underway.

Over a dozen people were injured after two buses collided exiting the Lincoln Tunnel in Manhattan. At this time, authorities believe that at least 32 people are being treated for various injuries sustained in the incident. The incident is believed to have taken place on the city’s west side on Dyer Avenue and West 40th Street around 10 A.M. local time.

What happened?

According to ABC 7, authorities with the New York City Fire Department confirmed the number of victims. During early reports of the story, all of the injuries were believed to be minor; it was later clarified that 25 people had minor injuries and seven people had moderate injuries.

The two buses were also believed to be New Jersey Transit buses. Both buses drove out of the tunnel to the New York side, at which point the passengers were evaluated. During the incident, the Lincoln Tunnel remained open, although some buses to the Port Authority Bus Terminal were believed to be delayed.

What are officials saying?

On Twitter, the New York City Fire Department confirmed that they believe none of the injuries were life-threatening:

“#FDNY members are on scene of a motor vehicle accident involving 2 buses in the Lincoln Tunnel. Currently there are 32 non-life-threatening injuries reported”

A man was arrested early Friday, May 18, after storming the lobby of the Trump National Doral Golf Club near Miami, Florida, ranting about the President and exchanging gunfire with officers.

The shooter was identified as 42-year-old Jonathan Oddi, who allegedly pulled a fire alarm around 1:30am to lure emergency responders into the golf course’s lobby. He also draped an American flag over the lobby’s counter.

After a brief shoot-out with police, Oddi was wounded and apprehended. He left the scene on a gurney, to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his lower extremities at Kendall Regional Medical Center. He was last reported in stable condition.

A Doral officer sustained a broken wrist during the attack and was last reported in good condition at Baptist Hospital. No other injuries have been reported.

Although the police did not immediately describe a motive for the attack at the resort, they said the man had tried to ambush officers and had yelled “anti-Trump” rhetoric.

“We don’t know what his intentions were — long-term intentions — but we know what he was trying to do at the time, and it appears that he was trying to engage our police officers, some kind of ambush-type attack, trying to lure our police officers,” said Juan J. Perez, the director of the Miami-Dade Police Department.

“We immediately were able to neutralize this threat,” Mr. Perez said. “If not for the heroic efforts of the police officers that responded here today, this individual would have caused a lot of harm, and he was not able to do that.”

The authorities said they believed Oddi, who was shot and taken to a hospital, had acted alone in the episode. The Doral police said there was “no further threat” at the club. The whole incident lasted just a few minutes.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the officer-involved shooting, while Homeland Security and the FBI are expected to investigate the motive.

A former Playboy Playmate jumped with her 7-year-old son to their deaths from a Midtown hotel Friday, May 18. Stephanie Adams, 47, leaped with young Vincent from the top floor of the Gotham Hotel around 8:30am, according to Dailymail.

The pair checked into the hotel around 6pm Thursday, May 17, and were staying in a 25th-floor penthouse suite, NYPD Chief of Manhattan Detectives William Aubrey said at a press conference. Their bodies were found on a second-floor landing in the hotel’s rear courtyard. It’s unclear if she was holding her son, or if he jumped at his own will.

“Early this morning investigators located an individual whose attention was drawn to that same second-floor area when he heard two loud noises,” Aubrey said. “His attention was drawn to that and he discovered these two deceased individuals.”

The deaths come as Adams waged a fierce court battle with her estranged husband, Charles Nicolai, 47, owner of Wall Street Chiropractic & Wellness.

Their relationship was so bad that they had begun meeting for custody exchanges at a police precinct in Tribeca, reports Dailymail.

‘It ensures no violence takes place,’ a friend told The Post in March.

Adams, who posed in the November 1992 issue of Playboy, was also awarded $1.2million from the NYPD, after suing the department over a 2006 incident in which she was thrown to the ground by a cop who falsely claimed she pulled a gun on him.

Adams and her ex were also sued in 2013 by Dilek Edwards, a former massage therapist in Nicolai’s office.

Edwards said she was let go after Nicolai claimed his then-wife was ‘jealous’ of ‘too cute’ Edwards. The lawsuit was initially thrown out, but later restored by an appeals court who said Edwards could sue for gender discrimination.

Adams was supposedly a self-made millionaire by the age of 30. In addition to her work as a model, she also spent time as an investor and founded a skincare line called GODDESSY Organics. On the skincare line’s website, she claims to be the author of two dozen metaphysical books, astronomy calendars, and tarot cards.

She describes herself as a “generational occultist, psychic and spiritualist.” She goes onto say that she has “decided to dedicate most of her time towards business, philanthropy, and developing as much of a private life as she can possibly have.”

17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis has been identified as the person responsible for today’s shooting at Santa Fe High School that killed at least eight and injured at least 12. Unconfirmed reports indicated that Pagourtzis reportedly used a shotgun in the shooting, however, police have yet to confirm what type of weapon Pagourtzis used. In addition to the deadly mass shooting, police found pressure cookers and pipe bombs around the school, some of which Pagourtzis threw into classrooms. Pagourtzis, an 11th-grade student at the high school, was first identified by CBS News.

Santa Fe High School in Texas was placed on when the shooting took place in an art class on school grounds around 7:30 a.m. local time. Santa Fe Police, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and ATF agents all responded to the scene. Santa Fe ISD PD is the leading the investigation. Injured students and staff were transported to nearby Clear Lake Medical Center and Mainland Medical Center.

Pagourtzisis is currently in custody while another person of interest was initially detained. While it has been confirmed that the second person of interest is a student, it was not clear why they were being questioned. According to unconfirmed reports from some witnesses, the shooter yelled “Surprise!” as the shooting began. One witness, a Santa Fe student identified as Dustin, told ABC 13 that the shooter was wearing “big boots and a trench coat” and that the shooter was “bullied” and “didn’t have a lot of friends.” Dustin also indicated that Pagourtzis was “bullied by coaches”.

Following the shooting, the Santa Fe ISD confirmed that additional explosives were found in the school and in the “areas adjacent to the school.” Police are currently in the process of rendering them safe.

Screenshots of Pagourtzis’ now-deleted Facebook page show that he posted images of a t-shirt with “Born to Kill” written across it and a trench coat covered in pins he said represented “kamikaze tactics” and “bravery.”

The Santa Fe ISD released the following statement on Facebook about the tragic incident:

“This morning an incident occurred at the high school involving an active shooter. The situation is active but has been contained. There have been confirmed injuries. Details will be released as we receive information. Law enforcement will continue to secure the building and initiate all emergency management protocols to release and move students to another location. All other campuses are operating under their regular schedules.

Students from the high school are being transported by SFISD transportation to the Alamo Gym located at 13306 Highway 6. Parents may reunite with their students at this location.

This district will continue to keep you updated as information is available. Safety and communication are our top priorities.

In the aftermath of the shooting, President Trump tweeted “School shooting in Texas. Early reports not looking good. God bless all!” He also spoke to the media, saying “We grieve for the terrible loss of life and send our support and love to everyone affected by this absolutely horrific attack. We’re with you in this tragic hour and we will be with you forever. May God heal the injured and may God comfort the wounded and may God be with the victims and with the victims’ families. Very sad day. Very, very sad.”

Santa Fe school district superintendent released the following statement:

“It is with great sadness that I stand here to share with you that we experienced an unthinkable tragedy at our high school this morning. We are grieving the loss of members of our SFISD family.”

Santa Fe High School, located at 16000 Highway 6, is roughly 36 miles outside of Houston. According to the Texas Education Agency, the high school’s enrollment is approximately 1,400 students.

Before his senior season, in November 2007, Green committed to play college basketball at Michigan State.

2008-2012

Green played all four years at Michigan State. He would end his college career as one of three players in Michigan State history with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. In his senior year, he averaged 16.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He entered the NBA draft in 2012 and was selected 35th overall by the Golden State Warriors.

2012-2015

Draymond has spent his entire six-season career with the Warriors. He had somewhat of a breakout season in his sophomore year, where he played all 82 games and began to establish himself as a defensive force in the league. The next year, 2014-15, Green played a pivotal role in the Warriors championship season and became a household name in the NBA. He was now a starter for the Warriors, finishing the season with 11.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He also finished as a runner-up in both the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards.

2015-Present

In the 2015 off-season, Green signed a five-year deal worth $82 million with the Warriors. In his next three seasons, Green would win his second NBA championship, be named to three All-Star teams, and win 2017’s NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the summer of 2016, Green was named to the United States national squad and helped Team USA win the gold medal in Rio.

Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, has been identified as the person responsible for today’s shooting at Santa Fe High School. Dimitrios Pagourtzis was a student at the school. Federal law enforcement has confirmed there are at least eight people dead and at least 12 people have been injured. A police officer was also injured in the shooting. Pagourtzis reportedly used a shotgun in the shooting. Pagourtzisis in custody while another person of interest was initially detained. While it was confirmed that the second person of interest is a student, it has not been revealed why they weer being detained.

Santa Fe High School was placed on when the shooting took place in an art class on campus between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. Santa Fe Police, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and ATF agents all responded to the shooting with Santa Fe ISD PD leading the investigation.. Pagourtzis was first identified by CBS News.

One witness, a Santa Fe student identified as Dustin, told ABC 13 that the shooter was wearing “big boots and a trench coat” and that the shooter was “bullied” and “didn’t have a lot of friends.” Dustin also indicated that Pagourtzis was “bullied by coaches”. According to unconfirmed reports from some witnesses, the shooter yelled “Surprise!” as the shooting began

Furthermore, the Santa Fe ISD tweeted that “possible explosive devices have been located at the school and off campus.” Law enforcement is currently in the process of rendering them safe. Authorities have confirmed that explosives have been found in the school and in the “areas adjacent to the school.”

Injured students and staff have been transported to local hospitals — seven victims were transported to Clear Lake Medical Center and another two were sent to Mainland Medical Center.

The Santa Fe ISD released the following statement on Facebook:

“This morning an incident occurred at the high school involving an active shooter. The situation is active but has been contained. There have been confirmed injuries. Details will be released as we receive information. Law enforcement will continue to secure the building and initiate all emergency management protocols to release and move students to another location. All other campuses are operating under their regular schedules.

Students from the high school are being transported by SFISD transportation to the Alamo Gym located at 13306 Highway 6. Parents may reunite with their students at this location.

This district will continue to keep you updated as information is available. Safety and communication are our top priorities.

Santa Fe school district superintendent released the following statement:

“It is with great sadness that I stand here to share with you that we experienced an unthinkable tragedy at our high school this morning. We are grieving the loss of members of our SFISD family.”

Santa Fe High School, located at 16000 Highway 6, is roughly 36 miles outside of Houston. According to the Texas Education Agency, the high school enrollment is about 1,400 students.

The shooting at Santa Fe High School is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States. This incident follows similar lockdowns and shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Florida, Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

President Trump tweeted “School shooting in Texas. Early reports not looking good. God bless all!” He also spoke to the media about the shooting, saying “We grieve for the terrible loss of life and send our support and love to everyone affected by this absolutely horrific attack. We’re with you in this tragic hour and we will be with you forever. May God heal the injured and may God comfort the wounded and may God be with the victims and with the victims’ families. Very sad day. Very, very sad.”

Over the course of the past few years, shootings such as these have been a plagued the United States, yet tangible change to protect the lives of students has been lacking.

Early Friday morning, an active shooting suspect, later identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, took the lives of at least 10 people after firing at Santa Fe High School. As the story is coming out, more information is coming out about Pagourtzis’ family, including Antonios Pagourtzis and Rose Maria Kosmetatos, his father and mother.

What do we know so far?

It is believed that the shooter, a 17-year-old at the time of the incident, used a handgun and a shotgun that his father legally purchased. During early reports of the story, it was unknown if the suspect’s father was aware his guns were taken at the time of the incident.

According to Click2Houston, suspects were searching a home that was connected to the suspect, with several law enforcement agencies at the scene, which was three miles away from the school. It was also believed that there was a bomb at the house.

The parents’ lives on social media

On his Facebook account, the suspect’s father showed support for Fox News and Dana Loesch, a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association, on Facebook. That said, his posts usually did not appear political in nature. He was also found to have liked cities in Greece. The suspect’s mother usually avoided politics on social media, showcasing her Christian faith in various posts.

Antonios Pagourtzis is an immigrant from Magoulítsa, Kardhitsa, Greece, who currently lives in Houston, Texas. He also reportedly works at North American Marine, Inc.

According to Texas Tribune, a woman identified as “Rosemarie K. Pagourtzis,” believed to be the suspect’s mother, was said to be an administrative associate in Pediatric Endocrinology, a department of The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Her name is also believed to have been given as “Rose Maria Kosmetatos,” on social media.

Pagourtzis’ mother and father were married 18 years ago and have a 15-year age difference between each other.

What was the ceremony like?

According to BBC, the royal couple was granted the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, similar to Prince William and Kate Middleton being granted the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Markle could be seen wearing a dress developed by British designer Clare Waight Keller; she was also seen wearing Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, loaned to her by the Queen herself. She was also walked down the aisle during the ceremony by Prince Charles, who is now her father-in-law. It is believed that her father, Thomas Markle, was unable to attend the wedding due to health reasons.

Other members of the royal family took part in the ceremony in other ways. Markle has 10 bridesmaids and pageboys, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Lady Jane Fellowes, Prince Harry’s maternal aunt and the sister of Diana, Princess of Wales, also gave a reading.

In many ways, the royal wedding broke from tradition

That said, in many ways, the wedding broke tradition. Markle did not wear a wedding ring and did not promise to “obey” her husband during her wedding vows. Prince Harry did wear a platinum band with a textured finish; Markle’s band was made from a piece of Welsh gold.

Many celebrities who appeared at the event included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham and Sir Elton John. Many political figures were not invited to the event; as Prince Harry is not in the direct line of succession, there had been less of an obligation than with his older brother’s wedding.

The guests will attend a lunchtime reception at St. George’s Hall, which is given by the queen; in another break from tradition, Markle will give a speech, which will be the first time a royal bride gave a speech.
